This belfry is all what remains of a church during that fateful 1814 eruption when Mayon rained down death and destruction upon Bicolandia's fertile plain. 1,200 people perished.

Indeed it is. Aside from warm people who are always ready with a smile, the views are pretty amazing. Yeah - having young coconut under the palm tree on a secluded white, powdery sand beach would be a thrill!
