PICOS DE EUROPA

The Picos de Europa is the highest mountain range in Northern Spain, just 25 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. We visited the Monastery of Sto. Toribio in the village of Liebana where the reputedly largest fragment of the True Cross is found (kept in a silver reliquary). Outside the church was a viewing plateau where I shot this dramatic landscape.
